Welcome to Kings River High & Taft Indpendent Study School! We provide a safe, educational center for lifelong learning. We are dedicated to developing the potential of each individual, encouraging community awareness, and stressing the importance of academic excellence.
Kings River Monarch Volleyball is underway. Our team began their season on October 4th with a game against W.E.B DuBois Public Charter School and won with scores of 25-17 and 25-12. Monarchs have been working really hard. They practice during lunch and after school and have showed great teamwork. Under the leadership of Coach Nichele Wimer and Assistant Coach Chanel Levi this team is sure to have a successful season.

We will have speakers coming from the Marjaree Mason Center throughout this month.

ON OCTOBER 4TH STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE THEIR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS T-SHIRTS!!!!!!!
Friday, October 7th between 1:30 - 2:30 we will have a speaker from Marjaree Mason Center in the MPR. All students are encouraged to wear their shirts.
Tuesday, October 11th between 11:15 - 12:15: kNOw More group from Marjaree Mason Center will have a presentation in the MPR.
Getting students to and from school safely is our number one priority. Parents, please spend the time to read and review our Transportation Safety Plan with your child. This plan hightlights important procedures for District staff, parents, and students, as well as rules for students to follow while riding the bus. This plan is also available at your school site.
